fine painting
and restoration,
prep to finish
Our Services
-
Most of what makes a paint job look good happens before the paint. We repair the sheetrock, strip the wallpaper, and take down the popcorn ceiling ourselves, so the crew that preps your walls is the same crew that paints them. There are no handoffs between trades and no waiting on a drywall sub. One crew, prep to finish.
-
Salt air, humidity, and sun are hard on a house here. Paint only lasts as long as what's under it, so we wash, repair, and prime before a finish coat goes on. The same goes for decks and fences: we fix what's failing first, then refinish. Twenty-six years in the trade has taught us where exteriors fail first, and that's where we start.
-
Old houses need someone who knows the old methods. We reglaze original windows, limewash masonry the way it was meant to be finished, and repair wood when it can be saved instead of swapping it out. Cabinets and fine woodwork get the same care, restored and refinished in lacquer. It's slow, exacting work, and we like it that way.
-
Some surfaces ask for more than paint. A garage floor epoxy lives or dies on prep: the concrete has to be clean, dry, and properly profiled, or the coating lifts. We take the time to get that right. For specialty painting, tell us the finish you have in mind and we'll tell you plainly what it takes to get there.
Meet the Founder
Price began learning the painting trade in 2001 and has been at it ever since. He grew up in Charlotte and has lived everywhere from Asheville to Lake Tahoe, but his roots have always been in the Lowcountry. In 2019, he moved to Charleston for good, to be close to family and to be a granddad.
He loves this city's beauty and its history, and it shows in how he treats the homes he works on. For Price, painting is a way of serving people. Twenty-six years in, that's still what drives the work.

FAQs
What services do you offer?
1
We paint interiors and exteriors of residential and commercial buildings, and we do the repair work that comes before the paint: sheetrock repair, wallpaper and popcorn ceiling removal, carpentry, pressure washing, and deck and fence refinishing. We also restore historic homes, including fine woodworking, limewashing, window glazing, and cabinet refinishing, and we install garage floor epoxy. Need something else? Just ask.
How do I get started?
2
Book an estimate online, and we’ll set up a phone call for you to tell us a little about your project. Price will come out to see it in person, talk through what it needs, and follow up with a quote.
What makes you different?
3
One crew handles your project from the first repair to the final coat, so nothing gets lost between trades. Price has more than two decades in the trade and knows the older methods that historic Charleston homes call for. We're licensed, bonded, and insured.
